The step-by-step guide to opening an SBI digital savings account is as follows.
1: Open the Yono app; select the ‘New To SBI’ option. On the next screen, tap on Open Savings Account.
2: Select the ‘Without branch visit‘ option on the next screen. Next, tap on Start a New Application.
3: Here, enter your mobile number for OTP, (E-mail optional). Tap on the Submit option. You will get OTP, enter OTP and tap on Next.
4: Now, create the Application password and re-enter. Choose the answer to a security question. Tick the FATCA / CRS declaration box, and select the checkbox for Terms and conditions.
5: Enter your Aadhaar number and submit it on the next screen. Then, enter the OTP, which will be received by SMS on the mobile and tap Next.
6: Here, enter your details and tap on Next. Now, select state, and sub-district and tap on Next. Enter the PAN number and click on Next. The Aadhaar photo will appear here and tap on Next.
7: Select your qualification details and marital status. Enter the full name of your father and mother and tap on Next. Enter the father’s annual income and occupation details—select religious details.

8: Enter your Nominee details on the next screen. Next, enter the address details of the nominee. Tap on Next.
9: Select the home branch on the next screen and tap on Next. Accept the terms & conditions, and tap on Next. Enter the OTP on the next screen, receive it on your mobile, and tap on Next.
For an SBI debit card, enter your name on the debit card, and tap on Next.
In this way, your SBI account has been successfully opened through the Yono app. You will find your Account Number, IFSC Code, CIF Number, and Branch Code.
